Meaningful Partnership Established with Richmond SPCA through Thalhimer Gives
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA: Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer partnered with the Richmond SPCA for the months of March and April through their Thalhimer Gives company initiative focused on increasing community involvement and charitable giving. Through Thalhimer Gives, associates have the opportunity to actively engage in the community by donating financially, providing much-needed supplies, and giving generously of their time to local organizations.
Thalhimer associates gave to the Richmond SPCA, a local non-profit that saves the lives of 4,000 homeless animals each year. The no-kill humane society cares for about 350 dogs and cats daily at its Robins-Starr Humane Center and provides low-cost, high-quality veterinary care to more than 11,300 patients at its Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital.
- Donating financially
- Thalhimer associates raised $1,937 for the Richmond SPCA through “Friday Jeans” and the company contributed a $1,000 match for a total donation of $2,937 to the Richmond SPCA. “Friday Jeans” allows Thalhimer associates to wear jeans every Friday by making a $5 donation to the Thalhimer Gives partner organization.

“The Richmond SPCA provides a great service to our RVA community. Our Thalhimer associates enthusiastically selected the Richmond SPCA as one of our Thalhimer Gives charity partners for 2018. Our associates enjoyed supporting and helping animals by donating financially, providing supplies and volunteering their time at the facility,” Lee Warfield, President & CEO of Thalhimer.
“Sympathy for pets without homes is almost universal, but what they really need is help, and sincere help is what Thalhimer associates have provided through their Thalhimer Gives program,” said Richmond SPCA CEO Robin Robertson Starr. “We and the animals in our care are so grateful for the ways they’ve given, providing financial support, materials that will give comfort to our pets, and the time and talents they’ve volunteered at our humane center.”
