Starr Hill Brewery to Co-Anchor Dairy Central in Charlottesville
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA: Starr Hill Brewery and Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer announce the lease of 4,253 square feet within the mixed-use urban district development, Dairy Central, at Preston and Grady Avenues in downtown Charlottesville. Starr Hill Downtown, a new pilot brewery and tap room, which will include a 1,000 square foot patio, will be the cornerstone of the new Dairy Market, which is being developed by Stony Point Design/Build.
The Dairy building was constructed in 1937 with the Monticello Dairy as the original tenant. The Dairy Market redevelopment will include food stalls, restaurants and retail with an open market concept that will feature the best of Charlottesville’s local food offerings as well 50,000 square feet of class A office space and an 8,000 square foot private event space.
“Stony Point Design/Build is thrilled that Starr Hill Brewery is returning to its Charlottesville roots as a founding merchant at Dairy Market, a first-of-its-kind market hall in Central Virginia,” says Stony Point President, Chris Henry. “Starr Hill Brewery will compliment a carefully curated selection of Virginia’s leading purveyors, culinary talents, and artisans to create a truly unique shopping and dining destination just steps from the original brewery location. We couldn’t be happier to welcome Starr Hill Brewery to the Dairy Market.”
