NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA: Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is pleased to announce Alexandra Mitchener achieved the CPM® (Certified Property Manager) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). The CPM® designation is awarded to managers who have met IREM’s requirements in areas of education, experience, and commitment to a code of ethics. 

Ms. Mitchener joined Thalhimer in January 2019 after working for The Retreat in Blacksburg in various leasing, management, and marketing roles. Since joining Thalhimer, Ms. Mitchener earned a promotion from Assistant Portfolio Manager to Portfolio Manager and she has also earned the ACoM designation, another designation under the IREM association. Ms. Mitchener manages a portfolio of office, retail, and industrial properties in Hampton Roads. She is a graduate of the Property Management program at Virginia Tech.
