Through Thalhimer Gives, Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer Establishes Meaningful Partnership with Comfort Zone Camp
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA, July 7, 2023 – Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer partnered with Comfort Zone Camp for the second quarter of 2023 through their Thalhimer Gives program, a company-wide initiative focused on community involvement and charitable giving. Through Thalhimer Gives, associates actively engage in the community by donating financially, providing much-needed supplies, and giving generously of their time to local non-profit organizations.
• Donating financially
o Thalhimer associates raised $4,540 for Comfort Zone Camp (CZC) through Friday Jeans donations. Friday Jeans allows Thalhimer associates to wear jeans every Friday and make a monetary donation to the Thalhimer Gives partner organization, along with a company match.
• Giving generously of their time
o Thalhimer partnered with Comfort Zone Camp for volunteer opportunities and gave associates paid time off to give back.
– Thalhimer associates volunteered at “Arts in the Addition” in Scott’s Addition by helping to set up, direct traffic, and assist with beverages and refreshments at the event.
– Thalhimer associates attended a grief training session for anyone experiencing loss and to assist in being a valuable CZC volunteer.
– Thalhimer assisted in multiple ways at a Comfort Zone Camp in Palmyra, VA. We helped with the arts & crafts session, provided and served a pizza dinner for the camp attendees, and set up the bonfire after dinner.
– We volunteered with CZC at their office, packaged supplies for arts & crafts projects, and assembled bags of various items for upcoming camps.
• Providing much-needed supplies
o Thalhimer associates donated hundreds of items that Comfort Zone Camp utilizes for camp activities, including arts and crafts supplies and useful camping items.
“Thalhimer and their Gives program is amazing. They truly GIVE—with their time and talents, and financially. Comfort Zone Camp was the beneficiary for this past quarter. The Thalhimer team did so many things! They came to our office and counted and sorted camp supplies, organized camp gear, came to camp and helped with arts & crafts, fed the entire camp (the campers and volunteers loved it!); attended and worked at our Arts in the Addition fundraising event; led a supply drive and even had some team members get trained as future camp volunteers! WOW! Thank you, Thalhimer Gives, for helping to change the lives of grieving children in the Richmond area and supporting Comfort Zone Camp! We are grateful for all of YOU!” Lynne Hughes, Founder & CEO, Comfort Zone Camp.
“It was our pleasure to work with Comfort Zone Camp this quarter through our Thalhimer Gives initiative. CZC is an organization that transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, primary caregiver, or significant person with their free-of-charge programs. Our partnership with them truly defines our core values of transforming lives in the communities where we live, work, and play. We got to see firsthand how they support children and their families through the complex process of grief and healing by attending their Arts in the Addition fundraising event, volunteering in their office and at camp, and going through training to be future camp volunteers. We are proud to support CZC’s mission and we thank them for the important work they do in our community.” Lee Warfield, President & CEO of Thalhimer.
