Prior to joining Thalhimer, Mr. Lafler was with Venture Realty Group for 23 years, where he specialized in commercial brokerage and development throughout Hampton Roads. His experience in retail leasing and development comprises over three million square feet of retail space. He also maintains numerous tenant representation accounts for both national and regional tenants.

Mr. Lafler holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications degree from Radford University. He is a long-time member of ICSC, where he served as the Virginia State Director from 2015 until 2017 and as the Virginia State Alliance Co-Chair for the Private Sector in 2009 for three years.
