Richmond Associates Volunteer with Ronald McDonald House Richmond at Children’s Hospital of Richmond | THALHIMER GIVES
RICHMOND, VIRGININA: On Thursday, June 18, Richmond associates volunteered with Ronald McDonald House Richmond at the Children’s Tower at Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR), helping provide comfort and support to patients and their families.
The team delivered and served a catered lunch at the Ronald McDonald House family room. A special thank you to Alicia Brown and Connie Jordan Nielsen for coordinating with their client, Panda Express, to provide a generous meal complete with all the fixings. Associates assisted with serving lunch and welcoming families during their visit. The meal served 38 family members and patients receiving pediatric care at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU
In addition, three associates volunteered with the Hospitality Cart program, delivering snacks, beverages, activities, coffee, and other comfort items directly to pediatric patients and their families throughout the hospital. These carts provide small but meaningful moments of care and support for families navigating challenging medical journeys, helping make long days at the hospital a little easier.
We are grateful to our Richmond team members for donating their time and compassion to support Ronald McDonald House Charities and the families served by CHoR.
The team was also treated to a ‘field trip’, visiting Thalhimer’s former Exchange Place building downtown and a few other local sights.
Volunteers: Christy Pangelinan, Gail Shaw, Leslie Salazar, Eric Robison, Julie Dewey, Adam Holbrook.
