The relocation of Genworth Financial’s headquarters involved substantial renovation and upfit, and Thalhimer’s team was involved in all aspects – from leasing and project management. to property management for the building ownership. Totaling almost 175,000 square feet, the project was one of the largest office transactions in the Richmond region in recent years, and the new location will provide a permanent home to the Fortune 500 company’s 800 local employees. The redesigned space features amenities such as a full gym with lockers and showers, an instructor-led fitness and yoga studio, and a cutting-edge cafeteria. The new location fronts West Broad Street near Innsbrook in western Henrico County, a high-profile setting with easy access to the regional interstate network.
