
Capital Markets Group Completes Sale of The Mutual Building
RICHMOND, VA: Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer’s Capital Markets Group has represented Parmenter Realty Partners in the sale of the Mutual Building. The 132,434 square foot, 12-story office building originally built in 1904 is one of Richmond’s first high-rise office buildings. Located at 909 East Main Street, in the heart of Richmond’s Central Business District, the property boasts views of both the James River and the State Capitol. The property also enjoys frontage on East Main Street adjacent to SunTrust Center and its u-shaped courtyard opens to 9th Street. The building shares a parking deck with Suntrust Center and Parmenter Realty Partners is continuing to own and manage the SunTrust Center Tower and the Davenport building. 909 Main, LLC an entity associated with Shamin Hotels purchased the property through a competitive bid process on Auction.com for $3,275,000. The property was 31% leased at the time of the acquisition. A single tenant occupies the top four floors of the building with the bottom eight being vacant. The sale was completed by Eric Robison and Catharine Spangler.
