HANOVER COUNTY, VIRGINIA:  Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is excited to announce Planet Fitness has leased the 30,038-square foot former Best Buy at Bell Creek Commons Shopping Center, 7385 Bell Creek Road, in Mechanicsville (Hanover County), Virginia. Planet Fitness will occupy 17,850 square feet, with 12,188 square feet available for sublease.

Planet Fitness  is one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the United States by number of members and locations. As of June 30, 2022, Planet Fitness had 16.5 million members and 2,324 stores in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, Panama, Mexico and Australia. This will be their 6th location in the Richmond Metropolitan Area, and slated to open by end of 2022.

The brand-new Planet Fitness location will feature state of the art cardio machines and strength equipment, a 30-Minute Express Circuit, rowing machines, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, HydroMassage loungers, massage chairs*, tanning booths, Total Body Enhancement booths, and more. 

Bell Creek Commons, located at the intersection of Mechanicsville Turnpike and Bell Creek Road, is a regional shopping center with additional tenants to include Starbucks, Noodles & Co, FedEx, and Original Mattress Factory.
