Thalhimer Gives Donates $6,490 to Sportable in Q2

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA, July 22, 2024 – Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer partnered with Sportable for the second quarter (Q2) of 2024 through their Thalhimer Gives program, a companywide initiative focused on community involvement and charitable giving. Sportable’s mission is to create opportunities and transform the lives of youth and adults with physical disabilities and visual impairments through sport.

Through Thalhimer Gives, associates actively engage in the community by donating financially, providing much-needed supplies, and giving generously of their time to local non-profit organizations.
• Donating financially
– Thalhimer donated a total of $6,490 to Sportable for Q2. Throughout the quarter, Thalhimer’s associates provided $3,245 through various associate donations, and the company matched that amount dollar-for-dollar. Richmond associates also purchased multiple items for Sportable to be utilized throughout their various sporting activities.

• Giving generously of their time
– Richmond associates volunteered with Sportable at three events:
– Assisted with setting up for the NWBA National Championships held at the Henrico Sports and Events Center
– Helped Sportable with a ‘spring cleaning’ session where they helped build organizational shelves for their wellness/fitness items, organized their large supply closet, and folded hundreds of t-shirts and hoodies
– Assisted at Sportable’s signature event, the 2024 River City Slam Wheelchair Tennis Tournament, held at Collegiate School’s Williams Bollettieri Tennis Center

“Sportable is incredibly grateful to Thalhimer for their support and partnership. By including us in their Thalhimer Gives program, Thalhimer associates had a real impact on our organization. From volunteering at events, to providing support in our workspace to providing resources that help make our work possible, Thalhimer’s impact on our work and mission has been tremendous. Our ability to execute our mission is made possible through community partners, and we are so honored that Thalhimer chose to partner with us – their support makes our work of impacting lives through sport possible.” Hunter Leemon, Chief Executive Officer, Sportable.

“It’s hard to find a non-profit in our community that’s more active and more impactful than Sportable. Their energy and enthusiasm is contagious. Our Thalhimer Gives team loved connecting with Sportable, helping at the 2024 Adult and Junior Division Wheelchair Basketball National Tournament, and volunteering at the River City Slam Wheelchair Tennis Tournament. The athletes and the Sportable team and their mission are truly inspirational. Thalhimer was proud to support them.” Lee Warfield, President & CEO of Thalhimer.
