ROANOKE, VIRGINIA: Through our Thalhimer Gives initiative, our Roanoke associates collected $285 through Friday jeans donations for the second quarter of 2020. Thalhimer matched the amount and Wyatt Poats, who is the Chair of the Board at YMCA Express Gainsboro, and Board Member of the YMCA of Virginia’s Blue Ridge will deliver the check to the YMCA for $570. Thalhimer’s gift comes at a critical time for almost all non-profit organizations. The YMCA is beginning to shoulder a larger role as the need has grown for childcare and programming for youth in response to COVID-19.
