Thalhimer Wins Multiple Awards at 18th Annual GRACRE Real Estate Awards Ceremony

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer won four GRACRE transaction awards and one project award for 2018 at the 18th annual GRACRE Real Estate Awards ceremony.

OFFICE SALE OF THE YEAR: SunTrust Center One & Two, West Broad Street near the Innsbrook Corporate Center was bought by Arlington County-based FD Stonewater for $62.4 million. Eric Robison represented the seller.

RETAIL SALE OF THE YEAR: Dominion Shoppes retail strip shopping center at the northeast corner of West Broad Street and Dominion Boulevard, with tenants including Starbucks, American Family Care, Noodles, Blaze Pizza, Whitley’s Peanut Factory, was sold for $8.5 million to Dominion Shoppes LLC. Connie Jordan Nielsen and Alicia Brown represented the seller.

RETAIL LEASE OF THE YEAR: Gold’s Gym leased 28,000 square feet of the former Martin’s Food Markets store space in the Gayton Crossing Shopping Center in western Henrico and Goldfish Swim School leased the remaining 10,000 square feet of the former grocery space. Connie Jordan Nielsen represented Gold’s Gym; Jim Ashby represented the landlord, Regency Centers.

OFFICE/SALE LEASEBACK OF THE YEAR: Southern States Cooperative sold its corporate headquarters building in Henrico for $14.745 million to Thalhimer Realty Partners, the investment and development subsidiary of commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, and the cooperative will remain as a major tenant in the building. REVITALIZATION RETAIL PROJECT: Perch restaurant that took over the former Joy Garden space at 2918 W Broad Street in Scott’s Addition. Birck Turnbull and Will McGoogan represented the landlord and Annie O’Connor represented Perch.
