ROANOKE, VIRGINIA: During the third quarter, the Roanoke office selected Roanoke Valley Speech & Hearing Center (RVSHC) as its Thalhimer Gives community partner. Through the generosity of associates and Thalhimer’s dollar-for-dollar matching contribution, a total of $1,155 was raised to support the organization’s mission. The donation was presented to Shannon Shaffer, Executive Director, and Paris Atkinson, Office Coordinator, of Roanoke Valley Speech & Hearing Center.

Founded in 1959, RVSHC is a nonprofit community service organization that provides comprehensive speech-language and audiology services for children and adults of all ages. Their mission is to improve quality of life by helping individuals communicate effectively, empowering them to succeed at home, in school, at work, and within their communities.

We are grateful to our Roanoke associates for their commitment to giving back and for supporting an organization that makes such a meaningful impact throughout the Roanoke Valley. Congratulations to the Roanoke team on another successful community outreach initiative.

ABOUT THALHIMER GIVES
Founded in 2018, Thalhimer Gives is a companywide initiative dedicated to community involvement and charitable giving in the markets we serve. Guided by our mission of Giving Back Through Action, Compassion, and Care, our associates make a meaningful impact in three primary ways:

Action – Volunteering time and energy to support local non-profit organizations, with paid time off to make service possible.

Compassion – Providing essential supplies and resources to meet the immediate needs of our communities.

Care – Contributing financially to causes that matter and amplifying that support through Thalhimer’s dollar-for-dollar match each quarter.

Thalhimer Gives is at the heart of our commitment as a corporate citizen to lead the transformation of the communities where we live, work, and play.

Each year, organizations are nominated by Thalhimer associates who are actively involved with a non-profit or passionate about its mission. From these nominations, four charities are selected annually in each of our seven markets, with one featured each fiscal quarter. Associates contribute to these organizations, and at the end of the quarter, Thalhimer matches donations dollar-for-dollar, amplifying the impact for the charity of that quarter.

In 2025, we donated a total of $52,465, collected thousands of supplies, and associates volunteered 788 hours to local charities. To date, Thalhimer Gives has donated more than $395,129 to local charitable organizations, and we remain committed to growing that impact year after year.
