WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA:  Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is excited to announce a flurry of recent leasing activity at New Town Shops on Main in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Cox Communications leased 3,298 square feet of retail space and will be located in an end-cap unit adjacent to Ann Taylor Loft. Cox provides residential and commercial state-of-the-art cable, internet, phone, smart home, and security services to residents of James City County, York County, and the City of Williamsburg.

Additionally, Great Atlantic Hot Tubs, Swim Spas & Saunas leased a prominent 1,963 SF retail space, occupying the former Kay Jewelers, to service their existing Williamsburg clients and to offer luxury hot tub and swim spa sales. This is the company’s third location in Hampton Roads, and this locally owned business has been serving customers in Virginia since 1978.

Finally, Keland’s Louisiana Seafood is adding to its full-service Bar and Grill concept located in Newport News, with the carry-out only concept to be opening soon in the 552 SF unit adjacent to Axe Republic and across the street from Buffalo Wild Wings. According to Keland Harrison’s bio on his company website, Owner, Keland, followed his culinary passion as the kitchen manager for the Smokehouses and the Fest Haus at Sea World Busch Gardens, during which time he took his cooking to another level, earned his culinary degree and started his own restaurants. Growing up in Abbeville, Louisiana, he credits his lifelong love of cooking to his mother, grandmother who passed on their family’s recipes and techniques to him as a child.  

New Town Shops on Main is a 253,000-square foot lifestyle shopping center located at Monticello Avenue and Ironbound Road. Major tenants include Regal Cinemas, Barnes & Noble, Bonefish Grill, Panera, Bath & Body Works, Brass Tap, Ann Taylor Loft, Buffalo Wild Wings, Nautical Dog, Opus 9, Conte’s, and many other local and national specialty retailers. New Town is currently celebrating its 20-year anniversary.
