RICHMOND, VIRGINIA:  Thalhimer Realty Partners, Inc. (TRP), the investment and development subsidiary of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer (“Thalhimer”), is excited to announce the start of pre-leasing for their newest multifamily project, Market Street Lofts, in Petersburg, Virginia.

Thalhimer Realty Partners, Inc. purchased the property in August 2018 and began construction in December 2020, transforming the historic building into modern apartments, now known as Market Street Lofts. Ratio served as the architect and Purcell Construction Corporation served as the general contractor.

“Initially we were drawn to the historic character of Old Towne Petersburg,” stated Drew Wiltshire, Principal, Thalhimer Realty Partners. “We were also attracted to the unique architectural features of the building along with the growing employment in the area driven by Fort Lee, Amazon, and other distribution centers.”

The brick warehouse, previously home to a textile factory, will be converted to 106 studio, one and two-bedroom lofts and apartments. Each home features an open layout, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, sealed concrete or hardwood flooring, and energy-efficient washer and dryer. Original elements of the building such as wood beams, skylights and exposed brick are featured in many of the apartments. Community amenities include pool and sundeck, fitness center, dining space, coffee bar, clubhouse, coworking space, and dedicated conference room. The first residents are expected to move-in January 2022.
