Dairy Central Revitalization Project near Downtown Charlottesville Revealed
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA: Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer has been selected by Stony Point Design/Build, LLC for exclusive leasing representation of the Dairy Central revitalization project in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia.
The 4.35-acre property, located in the heart of downtown at the corner of 10th Street and Preston Avenue, will be developed into a mixed-use urban district featuring the adaptive reuse of the historic Monticello Dairy building, estimated to be an $80 million project. Construction for Dairy Central is slated to begin summer of 2018 after the demolition of non-historic portions of the Monticello Dairy complex. Phase I development plans include a destination food hall with unique local restaurateurs, national retailers, a craft brewery and co-working lab which will create an amenity for 50,000 square feet of new Class A office space. Master planning by Cunningham and Quill Architects includes future phases for creative multifamily housing, for-sale housing, and additional retail with structured parking.
John Pritzlaff and Jenny Stoner of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer’s Charlottesville office are the exclusive representatives for the leasing of the property.
