Wegman’s to Enter Richmond Market with Two Locations

RICHMOND, VA:  Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is pleased to announce that Wegman’s has revealed plans to enter the Richmond market with two new locations.   The supermarket chain has 83 stores in Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Massachusetts. Wegman’s has been on FORTUNE magazine’s ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ list for seventeen consecutive years.  In 2014 they ranked 12th on Fortune’s list.
     Wegman’s plans to construct a retail store within West Broad Marketplace.  Wegman’s will be an anchor for the center, along with Cabela’s. Featuring an eclectic mix of retail shops, restaurants, and lifestyle amenities, the 350,000-square foot West Broad Marketplace is scheduled to open in the spring of 2016.  The center, being developed by NV Retail, is located in the heart of the Short Pump area.  Connie Jordan Nielsen and Mark E.      Stonehenge Village Shopping Center, a planned 230,000-square foot retail center, developed by Marchetti Properties, is located about 1 mile west of the Chesterfield Town Center, will be the location of Wegman’s second new Richmond location.  Connie Jordan Nielsen and Nicki Jassy with Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer are exclusive leasing representatives for Stonehenge Village.
